FAQ
What is True You Collective?
True You Collective is a Nervous System Reboot™ center in Arvada, Colorado. We use science-backed, non-invasive modalities—including vibroacoustic therapy, technodelic light, red light therapy, infrared sauna, and sound-based experiences—to help the nervous system regulate, recover, and reconnect.
We focus on root-cause support, not quick fixes, and create a safe, private space for the body to remember how to heal.
What does “Nervous System Reboot™” mean?
A reboot is different than a reset.
A reset implies forcing change.
A reboot allows the system to power down, reorganize, and come back online more efficiently.
Our modalities support the parasympathetic nervous system (rest, repair, recovery), helping clients move out of chronic stress, survival mode, and burnout.
Who comes to True You Collective?
Clients come to us for many reasons, including:
- Chronic stress, burnout, and anxiety
- Grief, life transitions, and emotional overload
- PTSD-adjacent symptoms and nervous system dysregulation
- Chronic pain, inflammation, and injury recovery
- Sleep issues and low energy
- Desire for deeper body-based healing without talk therapy or medication
Many of our clients are professionals, caregivers, parents, first responders, and people who “hold it all together” — until their body asks for support.
What is Vibroacoustic Therapy?
Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT) uses low-frequency sound vibration delivered through a specialized sound lounge to gently stimulate the body and nervous system.
Research shows low-frequency vibration can support:
- Nervous system regulation
- Improved heart rate variability (HRV)
- Reduced muscle tension
- Stress and anxiety reduction
- Emotional processing without verbal effort
Clients often describe feeling calmer, lighter, more grounded, or deeply rested after sessions.
What are Technodelics?
Technodelics use rhythmic light and sound stimulation to create immersive, non-pharmacological altered states similar to meditation or plant-medicine experiences—without substances.
Science-backed research on audiovisual stimulation shows benefits for:
- Mood and emotional regulation
- Anxiety reduction
- Cognitive clarity
- Nervous system regulation
This modality is drug-test safe and fully non-invasive.
What Is Red Light Therapy?
Red Light Therapy (also known as photobiomodulation) uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to support cellular function, tissue repair, and nervous system health. These wavelengths penetrate the skin and are absorbed by the mitochondria—the “energy centers” of your cells—helping them produce energy more efficiently.
Research shows red and near-infrared light can support:
- Reduced inflammation and pain
- Improved muscle recovery and tissue repair
- Enhanced circulation and lymphatic flow
- Nervous system regulation and stress recovery
- Support during grief, burnout, and chronic stress states
At True You Collective, red light therapy is not used for aesthetics alone. It is a foundational nervous system and recovery tool, supporting the body’s ability to heal from the inside out.
What Does Red Light Therapy Feel Like?
Red light therapy is passive and gentle. You stand or relax while your body absorbs the light.
Clients often report:
- A calming, grounding sensation
- Reduced pain or stiffness
- Improved sleep quality over time
Feeling more energized yet regulated
What Is Infrared Sauna Therapy?
Infrared Sauna Therapy uses infrared heat to gently warm the body from the inside out, rather than heating the surrounding air like traditional saunas. This allows for deeper tissue penetration at lower, more tolerable temperatures.
Infrared sauna has been studied for its effects on:
- Nervous system relaxation and parasympathetic activation
- Detoxification support (including heavy metals, mold, and environmental toxins)
- Muscle recovery and joint pain
- Circulation and cardiovascular support
- Anxiety reduction and stress relief
For many clients, infrared sauna provides a safe and accessible way to support detox and regulation without intense heat stress.
How Does Infrared Sauna Support the Nervous System?
Gentle heat exposure can signal safety to the nervous system when used appropriately. Infrared sauna may help:
- Reduce cortisol and stress load
- Improve heart rate variability (HRV) over time
- Support emotional release held in the body
- Encourage deeper sleep and recovery
This makes infrared sauna especially helpful for people experiencing burnout, chronic stress, grief, or trauma-related tension.
Why Use These Modalities Together?
Each modality supports the nervous system differently:
- Vibroacoustics → Sound + vibration for deep regulation and HRV support
- Technodelics → Light + sound for emotional processing and altered states
- Red Light Therapy → Cellular repair and inflammation support
- Infrared Sauna → Detoxification, circulation, and parasympathetic activation
When combined thoughtfully, these tools amplify one another while remaining non-invasive and drug-test safe.
Is Red Light or Infrared Sauna Safe for Everyone?
Both modalities are generally safe when used properly. However, certain medical conditions, medications, or sensitivities may require adjustments.
We review contraindications and customize sessions to support safety and comfort.
If you have questions, we encourage you to reach out before booking.
How is this different from just going outside, meditating, or grounding?
Nature, movement, and sunlight are powerful—but modern life often doesn’t allow consistent access to them.
Our modalities mimic and concentrate what the nervous system evolved to receive:
- Light
- Vibration
- Heat
- Rhythm
- Safety
They allow people to receive regulation and recovery without needing to drastically change their schedule or lifestyle, which itself can be another source of stress.
Is this therapy or medical treatment?
No. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
What we offer is nervous system support and regulation, which often complements medical, mental health, and bodywork care.
Many clients use our services alongside:
- Physical therapy
- Counseling
- Chiropractic car
- Medical treatment
What does a session feel like?
Most sessions are passive. You simply lie down, breathe, and receive.
Clients commonly report:
- Deep relaxation
- Emotional release
- Feeling “offline” for the first time in a long time
- Improved sleep
- Reduced pain or tension
Each body responds differently, and experiences may evolve over time.
How many sessions do I need?
Some people feel shifts after one session.
Others benefit from consistency.
Nervous system regulation is not linear. Packages and frequency are discussed in person after your first session to honor your body’s needs.
Is this safe?
Yes, when used appropriately. We review contraindications and customize experiences based on individual needs.
If you have specific medical conditions, we encourage you to reach out before booking.
How do I get started?
Your first session is offered at a reduced rate so you can experience the space and modalities without pressure.
